Poem: A Suit of Amor in a Lighthouse

A Suit of Armor in a Lighthouse

Is not good for protecting from lances, but rather,

The place to raise an egg,

Build a nest the in the jail-barred mouth of the metal mask,

And explore the rusty-jointed arms and legs of the soldier.

Let the chirps of young chicks ring in the headpiece,

And let them grow in the shell of another until the day they must fly

Out of two little metal windows into the salty beach air,

Leaving feathers leaking from his eyes.
